Judge Richard M. Borchers, President
Judge Richard M. Borchers is the President of Rocky Mountain Legal Education, Inc. Judge Borchers formerly served as a United States Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court in Colorado. Prior to holding that position, Judge Borchers served as a Colorado district judge in the Seventeenth Judicial District in Brighton.
Judge Borchers has taught extensively in the area of judicial and legal ethics. He also has taught in the past for the University of Colorado at Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the University of Maryland. He has lectured on ethics for judges before the Colorado Municipal Judges Association.
Judge Borchers is a graduate of Ripon College, Ripon, Wisconsin, with an A.B. in speech and political science. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law with a juris doctor degree in 1970. Judge Borchers also holds earned masters degrees from the University of Colorado at Denver (political science) and the University of Northern Colorado (communication).
Judge Borchers brings to RMLE a wealth of legal experience. He is an excellent instructor at seminars.
